Once, there is a very religious father.. Joseph

He has a son named Jack..

When Jack is young, his father always always wants him to tuck in his shirt..

Jack hates it, cause he sees his friends having more freedom in dealing with their own clothing..

Who in the whole wide world of his age today would tuck in their shirt when they go shopping??

I wouldn't, for sure, nor does Jack...

Jack asks his father,
"Why sould I tuck in my shirt??"

"Because it's manners.. You should tuck in every shirt.." says Joseph..

Every day, no matter what shirt Jack wears, his father is sure to force him to tuck in his shirt..

They get into a lot of arguments, shirt for the sake of tucking in shirts..

Joseph says,
"Not tucking in shirts is bad! It's no manners and it proves that your not morally educated by your family!"

Aiks, poor Jack~

One day, when Joseph and Jack goes to church, Joseph meets his friend, Jason..

"My goodness gracious, Joseph! Why on earth is your son Jack tucking in his shirt??"
exclaimed Jason..

"Because I want him to be a good boy"
replies Joseph..

"Lolzz, Joseph.. Is there a problem with that? Kids nowadays don't tuck in their shirts! Its their fashion.. My son does that too and I don't find it a problem.. Most important is to tolerate with kids.."
says Jason..

And so, Joseph listens to his friend and tolerates his son's behavior..

Soon he doesn't find the issue a problem already!

"It's not bad after all.."
he even says..

~~~~~~~~~~~
So..
What is the difference between good and bad?
Can anyone give an accurate answer?
Is there a "GOODometer" with which you can measure your level of goodness?
Not really..
So how can we say something's good or bad?
Just like the short story above: Joseph says not tucking in shirts is bad while Jason says there's nothing wrong about it..
Another example: some countries prohibit gays and lesbians and say it's dirty, while other countries say there's no problem about it..
One more: Some countries say that sunbathing naked is porn-like while others says it's not a bad issue..
SO WHAT'S THE GAP BETWEEN THESE TWO (GOOD and BAD)
Answer is:
tolerance..
When we speak foul language in front of our friends, they don't find it a problem..
But when we say MCB in front of girls or our family, they say it's no manners and it's rude..
Why?
Coz they can't tolerate with foul language..
When a terrorist kills someone, his buddies say, "Good kill" while the people say it's wrong to kill someone..
Is the terrorist right?
Well, if you can tolerate with murder and massacre, you'd probably say that there's nothing wrong about that...
But if you CAN'T tolerate with it, then you'd probably say it's BAD and EVIL..
It's how we humans see things and how we deal with it that matters..
Long ago our ancestors wrapped up every part of their body with clothing, saying that we can't show our body cause it's bad...
Nowadays people even wear bra outside their clothing...
So what's the big gap between our ancestors and us?
Again it's tolerance that differentiates good and bad...
If we can tolerate something, we wouldn't say it's bad..
If we can't, it's the other way round..
But
sometimes, we humans too like to set up some GOODometers...
That's where all the so-called "rules" and "religion" comes in.. Where people under them are required follow their level of tolerance..
Some places have rules that prohibits smoking while others don't..
Some companies say that it's ok to be late for work while others will fry sotong for you if yuo're ever late even a second..
Some religions say we can't eat this and that while others don't..
It's the way we tolerate some things that differentiates good and bad...
I can also say that drugs is good for me, cause I wanna die faster..
Get it?
I might be too technical but this is how I evaluate things~ haha.. XD
gtg, ciao~
